Criminal Justice & Public Safety

Front Range offers a variety of options for students to earn hands-on criminal justice training. For an in-depth overview of the field, its processes and experience needed for exciting criminal justice careers, our Criminal Justice degrees include an associate of arts and associate of science.

We also offer an online Criminal Justice degree program, along with Public Safety Dispatch certificates.

Criminal Justice Degrees

A.A. in Criminal Justice

60-62 credits
(4 semesters)

An A.A. Criminal Justice degree prepares you to transfer to as a junior to Colorado public four-year schools. A degree in criminal justice opens the door to a career as a probation/parole officer, correctional counselor and more.

A.A.S. in Criminal Justice

60 credits
(3 semesters)

The A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice is for those who plan to enter a career in law enforcement with a law enforcement commission. Enrollment is limited to individuals who are currently sponsored by a law enforcement agency and who have completed are enrolled in the FRCC Peace Officers Standards and Training certificate program.

Learn the unique skills required in emergency telecommunications. Acquire the core knowledge needed to communicate with someone until help arrives on scene. Apply your skills in an internship. Includes Fundamentals certificate.
