Program Locations: Larimer

Total Credits: 60 credits (4 semesters)

Our AAS in HVAC/R degree prepares you to enter the workforce. You'll explore all aspects of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems as well as troubleshooting.

Residential Air Conditioning & Heating

Program Location: Larimer

Total Credits: 35 credits (3 semesters)

Explore all phases of residential air conditioning and heating systems and troubleshooting. This certificate provides training in the design, diagnosis, service and repair of residential HVAC systems and hot-water heating systems.

Light Commercial Air Conditioning & Heating

Program Location: Larimer

Total Credits: 37 credits (3 semesters)

You'll learn all phases of light commercial air conditioning and heating systems and troubleshooting. The certificate provides training in the design, diagnosis, service and repair of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including commercial building controls.

Commercial Refrigeration

Program Location: Larimer

Total Credits: 28 credits (2 semesters)

FRCC's commercial refrigeration certificate provides training in the diagnosis, service and repair of commercial ice makers, walk-in coolers and freezers and self-contained refrigeration units.

HVAC/R Fundamentals

Program Location: Larimer

Total Credits: 15 credits (1 semester)

Learn the basic skills in HVAC/R, including brazing/soldering, copper tubing fabrication, EPA certification and basic electrical skills.

Transfer Options

Ferris State University

FRCC has a transfer agreement with Ferris State University in Michigan for admission into its Bachelor of Science degree in HVAC/R Engineering Technology and Energy Management. Graduates become applications engineers, project engineers, estimators and design engineers.
