RN-to-BSN Completion Program

Delivering quality, flexibility and affordability, FRCC's accredited RN to BSN completion program lets you seamlessly complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Whether you're a nursing student or already a registered nurse, you can build on your associate degree in the way that works best for you.

Quality You Can Count On

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education Accredited sealFRCC has been educating nurses in Colorado for more than 50 years. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at FRCC is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

Our nursing programs have an excellent reputation throughout the state's health care community. Employers know our well-trained nursing graduates can hit the ground running in a professional environment.

FRCC is also one of the top 10 community colleges in the country for online learning. We have more than 25 years of experience in online education. The college also has one of the most extensive training programs in the US for our online faculty—and our BSN students have dedicated online advisors to help them throughout their time in the program.

Flexibility That Works For Your Schedule

Our classes are designed to give you the flexibility you need to make nursing school work with your busy schedule. You can complete the majority of the program online—doing your coursework when and where it works for you. During our in-person practicum, we also offer opportunities to work with nursing experts close to where you live or work.

If you already have your Associate Degree in Nursing, this program can be completed in four full-time semesters. For students currently enrolled in FRCC's associate degree nursing program—as well as those working full-time as a registered nurse—the program allows extended time to earn a degree.

Designed for Nurses & Nursing Students

Our program accepts:

  • Students who have successfully completed their first semester of a nationally accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at a regionally accredited college—with a minimum 2.0 GPA in nursing courses—and are still enrolled in that ADN program.

  • Nurses who have already earned an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited college—with a minimum 2.0 GPA in nursing courses—and have a current unencumbered RN license to practice in Colorado.

Advance Your Career—and Your Salary

Demand for nurses in Colorado is on the rise and many health care employers now require their nurses to have a bachelor's degree. Completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) can help you qualify for more jobs, including supervisory and management positions in Colorado and elsewhere.

A bachelor's degree is also necessary for advancing a career in nursing leadership, management and education—or for becoming a nurse practitioner.

Course Format

The RN-to-BSN completion program is an online program with practicum coursework. All BSN nursing courses are offered online and are delivered in the MyCourses learning management system. Students are required to complete 68 hours of practicum work as part of FRCC's courses in leadership and community health nursing.
