and present. You’ll study topics from the humanities, social sciences and liberal

Degree Details
AA in Women & Gender Studies
Locations: Larimer, Westminster, Online
Total Credits: 60 credits (4 semesters)
In this program, you’ll have the chance to question assumptions about gender, power, identity and inequality while exploring how institutions like family, politics, healthcare and the economy shape people’s experiences. You’ll gain insight into important social issues such as pay equity, representation, healthcare access, sexual harassment—and how these topics intersect with race and class.
- Courses include Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies, Women & Social Action, Goddesses and Women of the Ancient World, and Women’s Sexuality.
- Courses span historical, cultural, social justice, and health/identity topics.
- The program encourages students to engage with issues of equity and justice. It is not only academic but also connects to making change in communities.
- If you want to combine interests (e.g., psychology + social justice, health + gender, law + inequality) this field gives you tools and frameworks to integrate diverse ideas.
Transfer Options
You can transfer your AA degree in Women's studies to the University of Colorado, Denver: Integrated Studies Bachelor of Arts degree. A transfer agreement with Colorado State University is also in progress.
