Being a Patient

Due to the educational setting, our appointment times and processes differ from those of a private dental office.

• Patients are accepted based on their dental and/or medical needs and the teaching value for our students.
• Appointments are typically offered during the day, with limited evening options, and require significant time commitments.
• To allow for thorough instruction, patients being seen for dental hygiene appointments typically require 2-4 hours per appointment and may need to be seen for multiple visits. Other appointment types will vary in length.
• Patients of all ages are accepted at the Dental Clinic.
• New patients or patients who have not been seen in two years or more may need to have a screening appointment. Screening appointments are typically 30-minute appointments.
