Janelle Bonavida

Representative, Admissions & Outreach

I grew up in Fort Collins and I have lived in Colorado almost all of my life. I attended the University of Northern Colorado as a first-generation college student and earned my BA. A few years later, I attend the University of Wyoming for my Master’s Degree. I am proud of the various roles I have had in education over the last 15 years as a high school teacher, school counselor, and as an admissions representative. I truly enjoy meeting with prospective students and helping them explore college/career options, hosting our Pathway Day campus visit programs, working with concurrent enrollment students, and visiting various high schools to speak with students, parents, and counselors. I appreciate working in a supportive, creative, and fun environment where people value each other and value students. An interesting fact about me is that I have been in 10 weddings and have attended 25+ weddings overall.

Assistant Director, Admissions & Outreach

I was adopted from South Korea when I was an infant but have lived in Colorado all my life. I grew up in Denver Public Schools and decided to attend Colorado State University for college. It was a tough transition for me, but all of the awesome support services and involvement opportunities kept me connected and motivated. I ended up staying at CSU for my master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. I’ve been at FRCC since 2007 and I love it! I have a lot of fun with my job and it is so rewarding to help students learn about FRCC and how it’s a great fit for them. I also enjoy coordinating large events and taking people on tours of the campus. One fun fact about me is that I started an anime club in college! I still love watching anime when I can.

Amanda Chamberlain

Representative, Admissions & Outreach

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Colorado in 2013! I always knew I wanted to attend a community college before university so I started at Front Range Community College in Westminster, where I received my AA is Psychology! As a first-generation student putting myself through college, I decided to transfer to Colorado State University Global Campus where I received my BS in Human Services. I have worked at FRCC since I was a student here and have loved being able to help people through their educational journey! In my spare time you can find me thinking of sharks, cows (they are so cute), or the many ways a potato can be cooked!

Bilingual Representative, Admissions & Outreach

I have lived in Colorado my entire life and have never wanted to leave because, I love it here! I am a first generation student who identifies as Mexican-American. I earned my Associate of Arts degree from Front Range Community College at our Larimer Campus and then transferred to Colorado State University where I earned my B.S. in Business Administration and my Master of Accountancy. In college, I constantly had jobs that were related to student affairs and this is where I discovered my passion for helping students -- especially, those who identify as Latino/a/x or who are Spanish speaking. What I love about working at FRCC is that I get to make an impact on students' lives by helping them obtain a higher education, which is my passion! In my free time, I love to dance Cumbias, Norteñas, Banda, Bachata, and making Mexican food.
