Are you interested in a research career in life sciences? FRCC is partnering with CU Boulder to bring you the Bridges to Baccalaureate (B2B) Research Training Program at CU Boulder.
B2B is designed for FRCC students interested in life science research—including molecular, cellular and developmental biology, neuroscience, biochemistry and integrative physiology. It offers a valuable pathway for FRCC students who plan to complete their associate degree at FRCC and then transfer to CU Boulder to pursue a bachelor's degree in life sciences.
How it Works
Each year, four FRCC students from either the Westminster or Boulder County campus are selected for this two-year program. Participants receive financial support, including monthly stipends and tuition support, while at FRCC and CU. Students will also receive transfer guidance, scientific and research skills training, a supportive B2B community and peer mentoring.
Here are some of the benefits you'll receive as part of this program:
- Monthly living stipends and scholarships for FRCC and CU Boulder
- Receive valuable community support and CU transfer guidance from CU pre-transfer advisors
- Participate in workshops to build scientific and professional skills.
- Conduct real-world research in state-of-the-art labs at CU Boulder over the summer
- Network with CU Boulder scientists and researchers
Who is Eligible?
This program is open to:
- First- and second semester students at the Westminster or Boulder County campuses who have an interest in bioscience research
- Students who intend to graduate from FRCC with an associate degree and transfer to CU boulder
- Students who have not already earned a BA or BS degree (even in a completely unrelated discipline).
Students belonging to historically underrepresented groups (ethnicity, disability, Pell-eligible, first generation college students, veterans) are encouraged to apply. Prior research experience is not a requirement for this program.
