Tutoring Services at Larimer Campus
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services are currently being provided remotely.
The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides a variety of opportunities for students to achieve academic success at FRCC. Our tutoring services are provided to all FRCC students at no cost, and most require nothing more than requesting assistance.
Support Center hours will be updated for the spring semester by the first week of classes.
Academic departments on the Larimer campus provide free remote tutoring options through Webex or Zoom. Unless noted otherwise below, no appointments are required and sessions begin the second week of the semester. For details about accessing drop-in tutoring sessions, please check your course in D2L or contact the Academic Support Center at (970) 204-8112.
Individual and small-group tutoring is available to FRCC students through the Academic Support Center.
FRCC Larimer students are eligible for one hour of individual tutoring or two hours of group tutoring per week for up to two classes a semester.
We have tutors in many courses and will do our best to match you with a tutor in the course you request. If not, we will connect you with additional assistance through our learning strategies tutors.
To request a tutor for weekly meetings throughout the semester, fill out the Tutor Request Form. The last day to request tutoring is three weeks before the end of the term. The ASC makes every effort to process requests within one week. If you are looking for occasional tutoring help when you need it, the Support Center drop-in hours above may best fit your needs.
While waiting for potential notification of being assigned to a tutor, you should:
- Continue going to and participating in class.
- Log into D2L and look for course updates! Do not miss assignments or course information.
- Feel free to use our learning strategies tutors. They can provide assistance with time management, organization, and study skills.
Learning Strategies Tutoring
Our learning strategies tutors serve as academic resources for students, helping you stay motivated and helping you learn research-based study strategies.
You can schedule a few sessions to focus on particular topics or choose to meet with a learning strategies tutor throughout the semester. Most students learn what they need in 4-6 one hour sessions. Learning strategies tutors can help with time management, organization, and study skills.
Fill out the Tutor Request Form to request learning strategies help.
