Front Range Concurrent Enrollment Program

Concurrent Enrollment allows public high school students in grades 9-12 to take college classes for high school and college credit with tuition paid by the school district or charter school and the College Opportunity FundLearn more about concurrent enrollment from the Colorado Department of Education.

High School Programs

High school students can choose from the following programs: 

ASCENT

With Accelerating Students through Concurrent Enrollment (ASCENT), students get a tuition-free year of college after high school.  ASCENT is a fifth-year high school program where eligible students who have successfully completed at least 9 college credits prior to high school graduation can receive another year of college here at FRCC tuition free. While tuition is covered by the school district, students may be responsible for the cost of textbooks and fees.

High School Select

Students take courses at their high school for both high school and college credit. Classes are taught by either FRCC-approved high school instructors or FRCC instructors who travel to the high school. Tuition is covered by the school district, but students may be responsible for textbooks and fees. Get more information on High School Select options for each campus:

Campus Select

Students take classes with college students of all ages on campus at FRCC for both high school and college credit. Tuition is covered by the school district, but students may be responsible for textbooks and fees.

Students under 17 participating in the Campus Select program are required to complete the underage enrollment process with FRCC.

P-TECH

Interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology? The Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) helps students simultaneously complete their high school graduation requirements and an Associate of Applied Science to prepare for a future career in their industry. Students must apply and be accepted to this program, and coursework starts in the 9th or 10th grade.

TREP

More than ever, Colorado needs teachers who are committed to making a difference. The TREP program will allow you to begin taking college courses while you're still in high school, and continue on a teaching career pathway for two years after 12th grade, tuition-free! Learn more about TREP.
