Apply for Admission / F-1 Visa
A transfer student is a student that is currently attending another college within the United States on an F1 student visa and wants to transfer to Front Range Community College. Transfer students will be issued a new I-20 and their SEVIS record will be maintained by Front Range Community College.

Steps to Apply as an International Transfer Student:
Apply for admission online. There is no application fee. Additional documentation is required for international students to receive an I-20 which is needed to request an F-1 visa.
Review requirements and submit required admissions documents. Once you submit all admissions documents, please allow five business days for a response. Once we have reviewed your information we will email you.

- Include your name and S number in all emails.
Once approved we will provide you with an acceptance letter and a transfer form. You need to have your current school sign and return the transfer form to FRCC.
You must schedule an appointment to meet with the Designated School Official to receive your I-20 no later than 15 days prior to the start of the semester. Be prepared to provide proof of medical insurance or purchase insurance through FRCC.
If you have not taken college level math and English at an Accredited University in the United States, you will take a placement test to ensure you are placed at the correct level in math and English. You may do this in person or it is possible to have your test proctored. Please see our Testing Centers for more information.
