Can I defer my application/start term?

You can defer your enrollment for up to three semesters. If you apply to FRCC and do not enroll in classes within three semesters, receiving grades, then you will need to resubmit a new application. Summer term counts as an active term/semester.

Application Questions

How do I apply?

It's easy to apply to FRCC! See the enrollment steps to apply online.

  • If you have never applied to FRCC, you will need to create an account first using your personal email address. (Current high school students DO NOT use your high school student account as those will deactivate once you graduate.)
  • If you have attended or applied in the past year (within three semesters), you are an active student and do not need to re-apply. Contact Admissions should you need help.
  • Former students who return after an absence of three semesters or more must re-apply for admission. Degree and certificate requirement changes in effect at the time of re-admission apply to re-admitted students.

Contact the Admissions & Outreach office to verify your status.

Can I take a class for no credit?

For regular FRCC classes this is called auditing a course. This requires that you apply to college and pay full price for the course. Contact the Registrar's Office for more information at registrars@frontrange.edu

Other non-credit options are provided through Continuing Education.

How do I apply as an international student?

At FRCC, we consider international students an integral part of our diverse student body. International students have additional steps to follow and earlier deadlines to meet. Connect with international@frontrange.edu

When is the application deadline?

There is no application deadline so you can apply anytime.

How do I apply as a returning student?

Returning FRCC students follow these steps:

  • If it has been less than three semesters since you completed classes at FRCC, simply log into eWOLF and register for classes. We recommend that you meet with your Academic Advisor to make sure you are on track for your program.

  • If it has been three semesters or more since you completed classes at FRCC, you'll need to reapply to the college. You will need to use the same e-mail address you used to apply to FRCC previously.

Admissions Requirements

What are your admission requirements?

Our open-admission policy means that anyone seeking to “enrich their lives through learning” is welcome at our college.

  • If you are at least 17 years old, you will be admitted automatically to Front Range Community College.
  • Students who are under 17 years old and want to take college classes independently (not paid through a school district) will need to demonstrate college readiness through an academic assessment and be approved to take classes.
  • Current high school students who are taking classes through concurrent enrollment/high school programs to be paid by your school district will need to follow specific steps.
  • Admission to the college does not ensure acceptance into any specific program.

Do you have a required high school GPA?

FRCC does not have a minimum high school GPA requirement for general admissions. Our mission, as a community college, is to provide access to education for anyone seeking to “enrich their lives through learning.”

Do you require the ACT or SAT or other assessment tests?

FRCC does not require ACT or SAT test scores for admission. Learn more about Academic Placement options.

Is there an English language requirement?

International Students (F-1 Visa) should visit the International Student website to learn more about required English language proficiency.

If you need to take English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, learn more about our ESL classes.

Are immunization records required for admission to FRCC?

Vaccines are not required to attend FRCC mainly because we are not a residential campus. International students may need to have certain immunizations to enter the country but not to attend FRCC. Currently, the COVID vaccine is not required for admission to Colorado Community Colleges.

However, some of our Health Sciences and Wellness programs do require you to be current on certain immunizations and to provide documentation. See required vaccines and specific admission requirements for:

Can I be admitted with a GED, HiSET, or TASC high school equivalency exam (HSE)?

Our open-admission policy means that anyone seeking to “enrich their lives through learning” is welcome at our college. Admission to the college, however, does not ensure acceptance into any specific program. Financial Aid eligibility may also be impacted if you do not have a high school diploma or GED.

You may not have to take an academic assessment if you have High School Exam (GED/HiSET/TASC) scores from the last five years. See Academic Placement for more information.

Do you have a foreign language requirement?

FRCC does not have a foreign language requirement for admission or for graduation (except for the Associate of Arts in Spanish degree). However, many of our programs give students the option of taking a foreign language, since proficiency in a foreign language can enhance your cultural competency and can be a desirable skill when seeking employment following graduation. Also, some four-year institutions require a certain level of foreign language proficiency, and you can take those courses at FRCC before transferring.

Can I be admitted if I am home-schooled for high school?

Our open-admission policy means that anyone seeking to “enrich their lives through learning” is welcome at our college. If you are at least 17 years old, you will be admitted automatically to Front Range Community College. Admission to the college, however, does not ensure acceptance into any specific program.
